    It’s unclear how they figured this out, or if the methodology is all that sound, but we’re going to hazard a guess that people hate banner ads enough to enjoy the numbers anyway.

    I am so often telling my clients that banner ads are NOT going to be the best thing for them. Really - well, ever.

    There are other ways to engage the potential customer than a banner ad.

    But…

    Well… banner ads are cheap. They require no engagement from the advertiser, and only minimal engagement from the viewer. And they are easy to make. Easy to track. Easy to repeat.

    And stupid. Did I mention stupid?

    Well, I should have. And then make a banner out of it.
